I grew up in Virginia Beach as a competitive
gymnast and diver. When my gymnastics career ended, I went on to study
Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, became a
certified ACSM personal trainer and a certified Pilates instructor.
Shortly after, I walked into her first yoga class and walked out knowing
exactly what I would do with my life. Yoga taught me to let go of self
judgment and competition and taught me to just enjoy moving and
breathing. Since that moment, I have been traveling, studying and
teaching yoga, pilates and personal training all over the world to
people of all ages and abilities. I have been studying and teaching
many styles of yoga for the past 9 years, including Vinyasa, Hatha,
Forrest, Anusara, Astanga, Silver Age, Kids yoga and Power yoga.
My
classes are lighthearted and playful, whether I am teaching gentle yoga
or power yoga, my passion, love, patience, dedication and energy are in
each moment. I believe yoga is about trusting
your heart and intuition and is an ever evolving practice on and off the
mat.
