Noelle Whittington is a Wilmington, NC native with a background in
classical dance. Her dance studies led her to pursue other avenues of
movement as therapy. Noelle is a gratuate of NC State University with
a degree in Textile Technology and Design, as well as the 200 hour
teacher certification program at Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica.
Since graduating in January 2006 in Costa Rica, Noelle continues to be
a constant student of Anusara Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, having been
blessed with the greatest teachers. Noelle also maintains Pilates Mat
and Reformer certifications, and while she no longer teaches Pilates classes,
she continues to incorporate its principles into her classes like Core
Power Yoga and private client sessions.
Noelle assists in and offers her own retreats around the world which
incorporate all her favorite modalities: Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga,
Pranayama, Chanting, Ecstatic Dance, Thai Yoga, Vegan Cooking, and
Pilates. Whether one on one or in a group setting, she loves to
empower her students through movement meditations and encourages them
to let go and "dance like nobody is watching". She is grateful to be
able to travel the world and to enhance her teaching by serving and
experiencing other cultures, which reminds her that we share this
precious Earth and that we honor ourselves by treating it and each
other well.
